San Jose

The area of San Jose is largest of the five municipalities on the island. It includes the South Western area and stretches from Playa d'en Bossa to the South side of San Antonio. The village of San José is relatively small. There are a few shops, cafés and restaurants, aswell as a pretty church that is well worth a visit. San Jose is an authentic Ibizan village nestled scenically in the hilltops in the centre of the municipality of the same name.

San José village lies beside the main road leading from Ibiza town to San Antonio. Behind the Church which dominates the village of San Jose, the Can Manyanet restaurant can be found; serving typical Ibicencan food at reasonable prices.

There are a few shops in the town of San Jose selling beach items, pottery and other nik naks.

There is not a vast amount happening in San Jose but that is not to say that this is not an enjoyable place to spend an afternoon. This village allows you to slip into the pace of the island, slowly, whilst enjoying a quiet drink.
