Haven On Earth, a family run business, brings you an extensive choice of villas and apartments for sale and holiday rental in beautiful unspoilt Catalunya in Spain, the idyllic island of Poros in the Saronic gulf of Greece, from the Algarve to Lisbon in Portugal and Tuscany in Italy.

Catalunya - Having discovered this area holidaying with family and friends in 2001, it took us no time to realise the charm of the region, the fabulous Catalan cuisine and of course the local wines and superb choice of Riojas. We couldn’t wait to return! The absence of high rise buildings and mass tourism is very evident and with many of the holiday property owners being Barcelonians, a truly Spanish ambience prevails with many Spanish owners, particularly Barcelonians, enjoying their holidays here.

On our first trip to Begur we were enchanted with the town, the countryside, the superb local beach at Sa Riera with its excellent fish restaurant and the nearby coastal villages of Calella de Palafrugell Llafranc and Tamariu. Girona is a beautiful old city divided by the river Onyar, and is just 45minutes drive from Begur. Often known as ‘mini Barcelona’ you can enjoy the cafes, restaurants and shops without the stress of a large city. However, if like many, you crave big city life, an hour and a half will take you to Barcelona, reportedly currently more popular than Paris! Haven On Earth can book accommodation for you on the famous Ramblas in serviced apartments and you can take the train from nearby Flaca into Girona or Barcelona if you do not want to drive.

As a result of our first holiday in Begur, when we rented a villa, we decided to invest in a holiday home which we rent out through the website. Haven On Earth now owns several properties in Begur and Poros, Greece, which has given us a wealth of experience in many aspects of purchasing, such as buying from a developer off-plan, purchasing a plot of land and directly instructing local builders and investing in established villas. This activity has developed into a business and as a result we are well equipped to offer advice to would-be owners and have already helped many clients and friends to buy here.

If you are interested in having an income from your holiday home Haven On Earth can market your villa or apartment on their website and handle all the bookings for you. Having many contacts in the area we can advise on local management including cleaning, laundry, repairs, garden and pool maintenance. Local management of your property is one of the most important aspects of letting to holidaymakers. You will want to know that your guests are enjoying their time staying in your home and that it is being carefully looked after in your absence. There will be many out of season weeks available for you to enjoy your holiday home, knowing that all your expenses are paid from the rental income achieved during 10-20 weeks of the year (if you invest wisely!) Of course if you decide to take your holidays in the peak season you will miss out on the highest rental income, but this is always your choice.
