The beautiful sheltered horseshoe shaped bay at Puerto Pollensa is set against the stunning backdrop of the Tramuntana mountain range, with pine groves running along the beach. Originally a fishing village, Puerto Pollensa combines a marina, an attractive main square and a long beach with promenade, to make a beautiful holiday resort for families. In the summer both the locals and tourists wander up and down the between the marina where the yachts are moored, past the many restaurants and cafes, up to the famous Pine Walk. Puerto Pollensa is very relaxed with a laid back atmosphere and friendly locals. It is a great place to relax on the beach and enjoy the beautiful views on offer.

Puerto Pollensa Villas

Puerto Pollensa Beach

Puerto Pollensa beach runs along the front of the resort and is a blue flag beach, making it ideal for children and families. The beach is scattered with trees for some natural shade, however during the summer there are sunbeds and parasols to hire. With many holiday rental properties in Puerto Pollensa, you are only a short walk from your apartment to the beach.
There are plenty of activities to keep you and the children amused throughout the day with pedalo hire available, wind sports and Sail & Surf Pollensa.
Along the front are many different restaurants and cafes so you are never far from food and drinks whilst at the beach. Also running along the beach is the famous Pine walk, with traditional residential and holiday rental homes lining one side and beautiful golden sand and sea the other.

Puerto Pollensa Holidays

Puerto Pollensa apartments offer a great base for exploring the local activities and surroundings. Throughout the year there is a weekly market in Puerto Pollensa main square which sells local fresh fruit and vegetables, fresh flowers and small nick knack gifts for tourists. This is on a Wednesday morning between 10:00 and 13:00 and is on at the same time in Pollensa main square on a Sunday. Puerto Pollensa main square is bordered with rental apartments and delicious restaurants, serving a range of international and local food. Puerto Pollensa is Puerto Pollensa accommodation is surrounded by many beautiful towns and villages, such as Pollensa old town, just 5km inland, the beaches of Cala San Vincent and of course the main town of Alcudia, just 8km away. Getting around Puerto Pollensa is very easy as it is a compact town with all amenities within walking distance. There are many supermarkets, shops and of course the market stalls on a Wednesday. If you want to explore the area and head along to Formentor beach there is a public bus service and another one which takes you into Pollensa old town and along to Alcudia. Although it is not necessary, we do recommend car hire with rental accommodation in Puerto Pollensa, as it means you can make the most out of the area and what is on offer, such as the many beaches and coves on offer. You can hire a car at Palma airport and drive the 60km journey, alternatively you can get a taxi there and hire a car locally in Puerto Pollensa. We can also help you with car rental so just ask!

Puerto Pollensa Restaurants

Puerto Pollensa villas and apartments are close to an abundance of restaurants and cafes. As well as the restaurants in the main square there are also many more along the sea front and marina, with a wide range of different cuisines from traditional Mallorquin to international Asian and Italian foods. Restaurants stay open late with plenty of seating outside overlooking the harbour, to enjoy al fresco dining with beautiful views on a warm evening. One of our favourite restaurants along the front is ‘Ca'n Josep' where you can enjoy some delicious fresh fish and mallorquin cuisine.
With Puerto Pollensa originally being a fishing village, many locals still go out and catch in the morning for the restaurants. From fresh morning caught fish to traditional mallorquin dishes, there is something for everyone's taste in Puerto Pollensa.
