Cala San Vincente
Cala San Vincente is one of the smaller resorts in Mallorca but still attracts a large number of people each year. The old fishing village is made up of a lot of residential properties, keeping its traditional mallorquin charm but offering a welcoming feel for tourists.
Cala San Vincente is located approximately 60km from the main airport Palma, and just 5km North East of the old Roman town of Pollensa. The resort is made up of 3 different beaches; Cala Barques, Cala Clara and Cala Molins, all surrounded by stunning scenery and the backdrop of the dramatic Tramuntana Mountains.
Although hiring a car and driving the mountain roads is the best way to see this dramatic and beautiful headland, there are also public busses that run from Cala San Vincente, to Port de Soller, Puerto Pollensa and Alcudia.
Cala San Vincente offers self-catering accommodation for families, couples and groups. There are a few hotels as well as some beach front apartments and villas. Although it is very residential, there is still a choice of rental properties. This is also a great place to visit if you are renting a holiday villa in Pollensa or Puerto Pollensa, just a short drive from the two.
Cala San Vincente
The beaches of Cala San Vincente stretch along the coastline, with Cala Barques being the first of the three bays and also the largest and prettiest. The golden sandy beach is equipped with sun beds and parasols, and the beach front is lined with restaurants and shops. There are also pedaloes for hire on Cala Barques.
Taking the 100m walking path along the cliffs and coastline, leads you round the headland to Cala Clara. This can be one of the busier bays as it is smaller and is very close to one of the few hotels in the area.
The main beach of Cala San Vincente is Cala Molins, with a large car park, restaurants and shops. This can also get busy with a few hotels surrounding it.
